AFL star Jeremy Finlayson's life has taken a tragic turn as his wife has revealed that she has been diagnosed with stage four bowel cancer.

Kellie Finlayson shared the news in an emotional Instagram post, saying that she had been "living with this monster for a while now".

She said that she had been experiencing symptoms for months, but it was only recently that she was diagnosed.

Finlayson said that she is undergoing chemotherapy and radiation therapy, and that she is "determined to fight this with everything I have".

"I'm not going to give up," she said.
